The 3rd International Conference on Engineering and Technology for Sustainable Development, ICET4SD is a biennial conference organized by Faculty of Industrial Technology Universitas Islam Indonesia. This event also a joint-conference between ICET4SD and the 1st International Biomedical Instrumentation and Technology Conference, IBITeC 2019. This year, the conference supported by Kumamoto University Japan and BKSTI. ICET4SD invites the academicians, professionals, and students from various engineering who interested in the technology development in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and management system, informatics, mechanical engineering, and another related engineering fields. The theme of ICET4SD 2019 is The Empowerment of Industry 4.0 for healthcare and welfare improvementâ€.
Technology Transformation Services (TTS) applies modern methodologies and technologies to improve the lives of the public and public servants. We help agencies make their services more accessible, efficient, and effective with modern applications, platforms, processes, personnel, and software solutions. Engineering is the goal-oriented process of designing and making tools and systems to exploit natural phenomena for practical human means, often (but not always) using results and techniques from science. The development of technology may draw upon many fields of knowledge, including scientific, engineering, mathematical , linguistic , and historical knowledge, to achieve some practical result.
An example of technology is the Internet which has made up-to-date information available to anyone with access in a matter of moments and provides real time information about events around the world. Technology is often considered too narrowly; according to Hughes, “Technology is a creative process involving human ingenuity”. 74 This definition’s emphasis on creativity avoids unbounded definitions that may mistakenly include cooking “technologies,” but it also highlights the prominent role of humans and therefore their responsibilities for the use of complex technological systems.

This includes all the technology on the Internet of Things (IoT). Empowered edge looks at how these devices are increasing and forming the foundations for smart spaces, and moves key applications and services closer to the people and devices that use them.
